It is gathered that Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly from Udupi district, in-charge minister Laxmi Hebbalkar, Minister for Mines and Geology S S Mallikarjuna, and other officials are expected to attend the meeting.

This meeting comes in response to a request from the MLAs and Congress leaders who had previously urged Siddaramaiah to facilitate a joint meeting for a prompt resolution of the issue.

In light of this development, the lorry owners have cancelled the planned foot march slated for October 4 in Udupi city.

Raghavendra Shetty, the leader of the association, stated, “The lorry owners’ protest against the new GPS system has persisted for over a week, and it will continue until the concerns are addressed.”
