Udupi: Man tortures pregnant wife over dowry, video goes viral

Udupi: A man has been arrested by the city police for harassing his pregnant wife for dowry.

The arrested is Pradeep Poojary, a resident of Koteshwara.

Reportedly, Pradeep and Priyanka were in love and had tied a knot last October.

The complaint filed against Pradeep states that he started to abuse his pregnant wife for dowry.

He reportedly made a video of abusing her and then shared the same with his in-laws, threatening to kill Priyanka if his demands weren’t fulfilled. The video of the cruel torture has since gone viral on social media, inviting sharp criticism.

Priyanka has filed a complaint, alleging that her father-in-law also assisted her husband in his torturous deeds.
