The district has seen a rise in cases of dengue and other infectious diseases. Self-medication by patients can lead to misdiagnosis and inadequate treatment, posing a risk to their lives. As a precautionary measure, all drugstores in the district are required to refrain from selling paracetamol and other antibiotics without a prescription.

Additionally, all blood banks in the district have been instructed to take appropriate measures to prevent shortages of blood and blood products. They are advised to maintain a list of blood donors and ensure that blood is collected and stored according to the demand.
