During the weekend, there was a large crowd at Malpe beach. The tourists, on the other hand, had to make do with wandering around the sea walk and beach. Tourists from Kerala who had come in huge numbers with the purpose of visiting St Mary’s Island left for other tourist spots after learning that the boats were not operating.
In the wake of the monsoon, the district administration barred water activities and tourist cruise boats from May to September. Due to the still-rough seas, the boat service did not restart as of September 16.
Malpe Beach Development Committee President Panduranga Malpe stated, “The district administration is particularly vigilant regarding the safety of tourists. Boating services to St Mary’s island are expected to begin from September 25.”
