Udupi: The Sri Krishna matha here is hosting a traditional arts and crafts camp where 9 artists from Bihar, Kerala, Karnataka, Odisha and Tamil Nadu will be showcasing pictures based on stories from the Mahabharata and Ramayana on the occasion of Ramnavami.
The camp will be held from April 15 to 21 from 10 am to 5 pm.
Sri Eesahpriya Teertha Sripadaru of the Adamaru matha inaugurated the painting camp by symbolically painting on a canvas.
Kamal Ahmed, a teacher from Shivpur, created paintings in the Basoli style while Mohankumar, a teacher at Mangaluru’s Mahalasa Art College created paintings inspired by the Thanjavur style.

Darshankumar and Kalashiyadevi from Bihar’s Darbhanga showcased their Madhubani painting skills along with Srinivas Reddy who is skilled in the Mysuru style having learned it from BKS Verma.
Sumesh K Shanmukhan, a native of Vadagara, Kerala made many paintings in the traditional Kerala style.
