Under trials attack jail security staff

Mangaluru: A team of under trials attacked two security staffs at the jail in the city on Thursday. The attack was carried out by murder accused Mustak and his accomplices.

The accused were being taken to the Court for questioning. While returning back and as per the protocol, the CISF personnel at the gate on the outer perimeter of the Court premises conducted a search. In opposition to this, the accused started attacking the staff identified as Keerti Kumar and Chandrashekhar.

The 10 under trials who were responsible for the assault have been transferred to Bellary jail. A case in this connection has been registered with Barke police.
