Underage pregnant girl dies: One arrested

Puttur: Sampya police have arrested a man under Pocso act after the autopsy report of a girl who died due ill-health revealed that she was three months pregnant.

The underage girl within the station limits was suffering from ill-health and succumbed to it on Jan 30^th. During post mortem it was revealed that she was three months pregnant. Thus based on the complaint by the mother of the deceased, Sampya police arrested Madnur resident Sridhar on the charges of raping a minor.
