Usage of loudspeakers without permission won’t be allowed: Chikkamagaluru CMC president

Chikkamagaluru: Chikkamagaluru City Municipal Council (CMC) president Varasiddhi Venugopal on Saturday said that the usage of loudspeakers without acquiring permission will not be allowed in the area.

Venugopal said, “We have received several complaints of noise pollution. Hence, loudspeakers without permission from Municipal Council and police officials will not be allowed. If unauthorized, such loudspeakers have to be removed.”

“It will be applicable for all the wards. We have also informed the concerned authorities to submit documents of churches, mosques and temples. We will soon talk to them and the rule will be enforced after verifying the documents.” he added.
