Vegetable vendor duped of Rs 12,000

Bengaluru: A vegetable vendor was duped of Rs.12,000 by a man who bought vegetables from her and issued her colour photocopy notes at KR Puram Market on Sunday.

The lady, Nandishwari a flower and a vegetable vendor hailing from Andhra Pradesh was cheated by a man who purchased vegetables from her. On noticing that Nandishwari had huge money, he gave her six notes of Rs 2,000 denomination and sought change. An unsuspecting Nandishwari gave him change for Rs 12,000, the police said.

Later, she went to a textile showroom to purchase clothes and was shocked when the store owner said the notes are fake.
