Venuru: Unidentified body found floating in Phalguni River

Venuru: An unidentified body was found floating near the banks of the Phalguni river in Udupi on Saturday, July 9.

A few people who were traveling in a rickshaw noticed the body and tried to pull it out using a stick but were unsuccessful.

They then immediately went to Karimanelu which is 1 km away from the spot to recover the body.  However, due to the swift water currents, the body could not be retrieved.
