Verbal abuse of on-duty officials: Complaint filed against MLA Harish Poonja

Puttur: The Puttur Taluk State Government Employees Association has strongly criticized Uppinangadi Zone Forest Officer, and MLA Harish Poonja for allegedly using inappropriate language in public.

A formal complaint has been filed by the association with the Assistant Commissioner of Puttur Sub Division, Girish Nandan.

Incident details:

The incident occurred when the resident of Amminadka Reserve forest, Lolaksha Gowda, initiated the foundation work of a building from October 7 to 9. Uppinangadi Zone Forest Officer Jayaprakash K.K. led a team for eviction operation.

During this encounter, it is alleged that MLA Harish Poonja verbally abused the forest officer, interfered with his official duties.

The association has further accused MLA Harish Poonja and others of publicly defaming the forest department by making unfounded allegations and has demanded appropriate legal action.
