Vipul Kumar replaces T R Suresh as Mangaluru city police commissioner

Mangaluru: T R Suresh, the Mangaluru city police commissioner has been replaced with IPS officer Vipul Kumar as per the state government orders issued on April 16.
T R Suresh, a 2003 IPS batch officer had taken up responsibility as police magistrate of Mangaluru city on June 12, 2017. He was likewise honored with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service.
Vipul Kumar, a 1999 IPS batch officer who is presently an IGP and director of Karnataka Police Academy has been given extra responsibility of Mangaluru city commissioner with quick impact according to the issued orders.
