Vitla: Auto driver booked for sexually harassing minor

Vitla:  An auto driver was arrested for allegedly sexually harassing a minor here, police said.

The accused is identified as Abdul Nasir, a resident of Kumbalabettu.

Abdul Nasir used to take the girl to school on his autorickshaw. Thereafter, he started coming to her home regularly. The girl’s parents had warned him not to come to the house.

When the parent further inquired it came to light that Nasir had sexually harassed the girl, said the mother of the girl in her complaint to the Vitla police.

Based on the complaint, police have booked Nasir under POCSO Act and produced him before the court. Further investigations are underway.
