Vitla: Son dies hours after father’s death

Vitla: An incident where a son died hours after the death of his father was reported from Bailugutti in Punacha village near here on Wednesday.

Retired professor Bhujanga Shetty succumbed to COVID-19. During the funeral, Shetty’s son Shailesh collapsed and was admitted to a private hospital in Puttur where he died after failing to respond to treatment.

Shailesh had been working for a few years in Australia and had returned home two months ago.
