Bengaluru: As the 21 days lockdown imposed in the country owing to the noval COVID-19, people have been instructed to stay home to prevent the virus infection.
Many pet owners are facing difficulties in taking their animals for morning walk. It is also difficult to police to keep a track of them in the morning.
Bengaluru Police has started an initiative on helping such pet owners to help the poor animals and requested to contact nearby police to get more information.
City police commissioner Bhaskar Rao took to Twitter on Sunday, April 5 sharing about this info and wrote," Are you able to take care of their poor Indie cousins and birds? Contact your nearest Police Station for assistance."
He also added a poster which reads, "What pet parents can do to help the police keep the society safe.. Walk your pets in the vicinity without going too far from your home."
