We lost our sincere activists in Lanka blast: HDK

Udupi: Chief minister (CM), H D Kumaraswamy, who was undergoing Panchakarma treatment here cut short his treatment and went back to Bengaluru citing that the incidents of bomb blasts in Sri Lanka have shattered him.

Addressing pressperson here, Kumaraswamy said that the bomb blasts in Sri Lanka, in which his close ones have died has disturbed him a lot. The pain relating to the loss of his close ones has become unbearable, therefore, after discussing with the doctors he has decided to leave to Bengaluru to meet the victim families.

He further added “the victims of the blast, Lakshmana Gowda Ramesh, KM Lakshminarayan, M Rangappa, Hanumaiah Shivakumar and KG Hanumantharayappa were the pillars of our party. We lost our sincere activists in the incident which is a big loss to our party as well as their families.”

“JDS chief secretary is in constant touch with the Sri Lankan Embassy and have also requested the Sri Lankan Government to release the bodies as early as possible to the family members. We have arranged a special Air-Cargo to bring the bodies to the state,” he informed.
