In midst of this, there’s been a claim circulating that with the advent of summer the virus may die especially in areas with high temperatures.
According to Laxman Jessani, a physician at Navi Mumbai’s Apollo Hospital, scientists have not yet come to a definitive conclusion as to whether COVID-19 virus will die with a rise in temperature.
He also stated that viruses can survive for 8 to 10 days on surfaces even in a dry environment. They do survive in human bodies with a temperature of 37-degree celsius.
