Woman dies after consuming jackfruit

Bantwal: A woman died after consuming jackfruit at Kalladka. Soon after consuming the fruit, the victim started to vomit and was admitted to a private hospital but to no avail.

The victim has been identified as Hithakshi (20), daughter of Chanila of Goltamajalu village at Kalladka in Bantwal.

On Thursday, after consuming the fruit the victim developed nausea. She was immediately shifted to a private hospital and later to another hospital for advance treatment.

After the victim failed to respond to the given treatment for two days, she was declared dead. Bantwal polie have registered a case of unnatural death.
