The woman, Sudha set ablaze herself and her daughter Anjali by pouring kerosene on themselves at their residence reportedly over a family dispute.
Neighbours upon noticing the fire rushed to rescue them, but unfortunately, they were not able to save Anjali. Sudha who sustained serious burn injuries was admitted to hospital in Mysuru.
A case in this regard has been registered Srirangapatna police.
