Ramakrishna Mission’s Swachh Bharath

As Swami Vivekananda said, “Arise, awake and stop not till the goal is reached” rightly defines Ramakrishna Mission’s (RKM) initiative ‘Swaccha Mangaluru Abhiyan’ to clean Mangalore.

Ramakrishna Mission came up with ‘Swaccha Mangaluru Abhiyan’ in the year2014, with the special request made by the central Government as a part of their ‘Swacch Bharath Abhiyan’ initiative. RKM hosts cleanliness drives every Sunday in different locations in Mangalore and they indulge in cleaning and beautifying the streets and localities in Mangalore.  Right from the residents, autorickshaw drivers, street vendors by the side of the streets, including people of Ramakrishna  Mission come together and take part in the drive selflessly. Today RKM has grown tremendously, with over 400 cleanliness drives, and is sure to make a mark.
