Addressing the media on Saturday, July 21, Yeddyurappa communicated his support to the idea and said all states must accept it.

When asked about Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy looking for one month time to sort the issues with respect to farmer loan waiver, Yeddyurappa said he wouldn’t mind waiting for the CM to execute the same. “In any case, the CM is responsible to the public of the state. How is he intending to repay the loans to the nationalized and cooperative banks? The public needs to know,” he said.
