Youth flashes machete in public - Video goes viral

Puttur: A youth flashing a machete in public created panic situation in Kaniyoor near here. Seeing the young man brandishing the weapon, the people did not know how to respond for they feared that he would attack them.

The youth in question has been identifed as Avinash. Eventually some people phoned Bellare police station regarding the incident.

Meanwhile, some youths were criticised for recording the incident in their mobile phones instead of doing something about the sitation.
Later the cops arrived and took Avinash into custody only to find that the person was not mentally sound. The cops then informed the family members of the situation and later, Avinash was taken to a hospital in Mangaluru.
