As per the information given by Sibi US, second secretary, Embassy of India, currently 42 people are awaiting for necessary paperwork to return to India. Among them, the visa of 15 Mangalureans was cancelled on Tuesday, July 16 and have been issued temporary exit visas, allowing them to return to India. The visas of the remaining four youths will be cancelled on Wednesday.
19 youths will board the flight to India on Wednesday evening and will arrive in Mumbai on Thursday morning. They will travel to Mangaluru by bus, informed Mohandas Kamath, an expatriate from Kuwait.
One of the victims Abhishek Manjeshwar reached Mangaluru on July 14 and speaking to the media he said, “I feel liberated from hell.” He also thanked all expatriates for their generous contributions and for helping the victims to return home.
