Yuvaraj Swamy’s case: K’taka court orders attachment of properties

Bengaluru: The city civil court has directed provisional attachment of properties belonging to conman Yuvaraj Swamy who was arrested by the Central Crime Branch.

Reportedly, two days ago an appeal was made before the court to seize Yuvaraj Swamy’s all movable and immovable properties.

Based on a request by the investigation officer, the court has ordered provisional attachment of 26 properties of Swamy.

Ramesh aka Yuvaraj Swamy was arrested by the Central Crime Branch in a cheating case on December 16 last year, skeletons have been tumbling out of his cupboard, embarrassing several top BJP leaders for their alleged connections with this Swami turned Conman.

On the day of arrest, the CCB seized Rs 26 lakh cash and cheques totaling Rs 91 crore from his palatial Nagarabhavi residence. People at Ramesh’s hometown, Devapura Hatti in Chitradurga, about 200 km from Bengaluru, were both surprised and shocked.

Surprised, because he was making national headlines for his alleged connections with the BJP leaders from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Home Minister Amit Shah and JP Nadda. And shocked, as to how he changed himself from being a concerned community spiritual leader to becoming a white-collar criminal, cheating the high and mighty including High Court retired judges and top politicians in Karnataka.
