260 cartons of illegal liquor seized, 2 arrested

Muzaffarnagar:  As many as 260 cartons of smuggled liquor, worth Rs 10 lakh, were seized after two people were arrested on the Karnal-Meerut highway in the district, excise officials said.

A team of excise department intercepted the truck and seized the cartons, excise officer Akhilesh Kumar said.

The two alleged smugglers, identified as Sanjay Kumar and Praveen, were arrested in this connection, he added.
