Actor Duniya Vijay accused of assault on daughter

Bengaluru: Sandalwood actor Duniya Vijay’s daughter Monica has filed a complaint against her father for assaulting her.

It has been alleged that Monica(19) Vijay and Nagaratna’s daughter was assaulted by actor Vijay and his friends when she had been to Vijay’s home to collect her clothes, and important documents.

Monica in her complaint, mentioned that Vijay and his friends Kirti Gowda, Hemant, Vinod and Vijay’s driver Mohammed, verbally abused her and physically attacked her.

Apparently Vijay made derogatory statements against her and also kicked her multiple times and pushed her against the wall. 

Monica has a broken arm and bruises on her face and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

An FIR has been registered against Duniya Vijay and his friends under sections 341 (wrongful restraint), 324 (assault with deadly weapon), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (Intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 34 (common intention) of the IPC.

However, Duniya Vijay denied allegations and said that Monica instead was trying to barge into the house.
