Adyar rape case: Accused gets 12 years imprisonment

Adyar: A POCSO Court here sentenced the accused, who had raped a college student in the outskirts of the town here in February 2019, to 12 years imprisonment along with a fine of Rs 1.10 lakhs.

Another accused who was found guilty of assisting the main accused was sentenced to 6 months rigorous imprisonment.

The victim was allegedly raped while she was spending time with her friend at a hill near Adyar in 2019.
