The aim behind setting up the death audit committee for Bengaluru was to bring down the death rate by ascertaining the cause for the deaths and correcting lapses if any,

The BBMP chief has informed that a special officer has been appointed to ensure patients do not face any complications after being discharged from hospitals.

Gupta said the state government would take steps to ensure the safety of vulnerable age groups during the possible third wave. He claimed that the city has enough vaccines.
