Neelam’s husband, Pradyumna, filed a complaint suspecting that a few acquaintances might be involved in the heinous act. Originally from Uttar Pradesh, Pradyumna had been residing in Bengaluru for the past 11 years with Neelam and their two sons near Bettada Sanapura.
On the fateful Thursday morning, as Pradyumna left for work and the children headed to school, Neelam was alone at home. Around noon, unidentified assailants forcibly entered the residence, strangling Neelam in the courtyard before fleeing the scene. The gruesome incident came to light when the children returned from school in the evening and immediately informed their father about the shocking discovery.
Despite the brutality of the crime, no valuables such as gold jewelry or cash were reported stolen from the house. The police are currently investigating the possibility that the perpetrators were acquaintances of the victim.
