Gowda expressed his condolences to the family and also handed over a cheque for financial assistance.
Regarding the present situation in the city, Gowda admitted that the government must have taken adequate measures to prevent such incidents. In recent times, people have no fear of the police. He also regretted the fact that police did not take his complaint about getting threat calls seriously.
On handing over the case to NIA for investigation, he said that the chief minister has written to the Centre. The home department will review the matter and take a decision. We will meet Union Home Minister on Tuesday to discuss the matter.
