Kundapur: An accident between a Bolero Jeep and two-wheeler on national highway 66 at Trasi near here claimed the life of a youth and injured five others on Sunday April 21. The deceased is identified as Suhail Saadi (28), a resident of Aripambra Mukkil of Payyanur in Kannur of Kerala state. He was working as the vice-principal of Muloor Sunni Center, Dawa division.
Dawa division principal Sawbir Saadi (28), who was in the jeep suffered grievous injuries while English lecturer Ibrahim Batishah, who was also in the jeep and two-wheeler rider Bharath sustained minor injuries and have been admitted to Manipal hospital.
Student Tufail and pillion rider Joseph, a resident of Jadkal are admitted to a private hospital in Kundapur. The car driver Mohammed Rafeeq from Kaup Majur and another student Hajmal who was in the car escaped unhurt.

Apparently, the Bolero jeep was en route twards Byndoor from Kundapur when it hit the scooter from behind. Soon the driver lost control of the jeep which tuned turtle in the middle of the road. Suhail Saadi, seated in the middle seat suffered serious injuries as the car toppled and lost his life while being shifted to the hospital.
Gangolli police have registered a case in this connection.
