Bribe case: Puttur tahsildar bail plea rejected

Puttur: Mangaluru 3^rd Sessions Court has rejected the bail application of Puttur tahsildar Dr Pradeep Kumar who was arrested red handed by the ACB and is presently in judicial custody.

The tahsildar was arrested on the charges of accepting bribe from the owner of a catering service provider who had provided food during the Lok Sabha elections. On June 25^th, arguments of the special public prosecutor and the lawyer representing the accused were hard regarding the bail appeal of the accused. Special public prosecutor and lawyer K S N Rajesh argued in favour of the ACB.

The accused Tahsildar was arrested in an operation conducted under the leadership of ACB SP Uma Prashanth.
