Poor Lighting on Service Roads a Concern
The lack of basic infrastructure on the highway, such as streetlights and public toilets, is aiding these robberies. Motorists stopping for basic needs become easy targets. Most service roads and underpasses lack proper lighting, creating an environment where robbers can hide and ambush unsuspecting travelers.
Local residents have raised concerns about the growing threat and are urging authorities to install streetlights and improve safety measures along the highway to prevent such incidents in the future.
