Central government implemented CAA, NRC with some hidden agenda: UT Khader

Mangaluru: MLA U T Khader on Wednesday, December 18 said that the central government should reconsider its decision on Citizenship (Amendment) Act (CAA) and National Register of Citizens (NRC).

Addressing presspersons with this regard Khader said, “Before implementing any Bill, the government should bring it to the notice of experts and the general public and collect their opinion. It should be implemented only if it is approved by all as our nation is a secular nation.”

“The central government implementing CAA and NRC with some hidden agenda, therefore even allies of BJP are opposing CAA after finding some drawbacks in the Bill,” he added.

“BJP is trying to destroy the unity Congress party had brought among all religions during its seven decade-long administration in India,” he expressed.

He further alleged, “It is BJP who tried to opened bus service and all other ways of communication with Pakistan, while Congress has taken all measures to shut the doors of communication with Pakistan.”

Mangaluru Taluk Panchayat President Mohammed Monu, Congress leaders N S Kareem, Santhosh Kumar, and Ishwar Ullal were present at the press meet.
