Bengaluru: Amid calls for social distancing owing to the coronavirus outbreak, the state government is likely to take a decision on whether it will go ahead with the SSLC examination as per schedule or postpone the same.
The SSLC examinations, conducted by Karnataka State Secondary Examination Board is slated to commence from March 27.
While announcing holidays for schools and colleges in the state on account of the coronavirus, the state government had said that the board examinations will be held as per the schedule. However, it is gathered that the state government is now mulling to postpone the SSLC exams.
A decision in this regard will be taken on March 23 during a meeting of senior officials, said sources.
