All efforts being made by the leftist government of Kerala headed by Pinarayi Vijayan to implement in Toto the Supreme Court’s verdict on Sabarimala that was delivered without taking into account the sentiments of the devotees, will not succeed,” predicted Yeddi.

Blaming the Kerala government for inciting the people in the matter of allowing entry of women into Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa shrine, BSY called upon the state government to wake up to the popular opinion of the people in general, file appeal against the verdict in the Supreme Court and solve the issue.

Tipu Jayanthi

Taking exception of Karnataka state government’s decision to celebrate Tipu Sultan’s birthday through Tipu Jayanthi, Mr Yeddiyurappa said, “Tipu Sultan had demolished several temples in Kerala coast. He also had attacked the temple at Madhur. In spite of bitter truths like these, Karnataka government unfortunately has stuck to its decision to go ahead with celebration of Tipu Jayanti.”
