Eid-ul-Adha: Karnataka Government issues fresh COVID guidelines

Bengaluru: Karnataka Government released fresh COVID-19 guidelines in the wake of Eid-ul-Adha which will be celebrated on July 21.

As per the guidelines issued by the government, Muslims have been prohibited to offer Eid prayers at Eidgah. While they are allowed to offer the prayers at mosque. However, only 50 people are allowed to offer prayer in congregation at a time.

The guidelines further instructed the mosques to offer prayers in multiple congregation in case of more people turn up at mosques.

People aged above 65 years and children below 10 years have also been barred from taking part in the Eid prayers at mosques.

Other COVID guidelines including wearing of mask, physical distancing and sanitization have also been made mandatory at mosques
