Addressing the media, Minister Dr MC Sudhakar stated that a thorough review had been conducted to ensure the previous government’s fee hike decision followed all guidelines without any loopholes. As a result, the registration process for the upcoming academic year will proceed smoothly, devoid of any confusion. The minister further affirmed his commitment to issue a separate order to that effect.
In 2022, the engineering fees were fixed at Rs. 38,200 for government colleges, Rs. 91,796 for private type-1 colleges, Rs. 98,984 for type-2 colleges, and Rs. 91,796 for deemed private colleges. The proposed amendment by the current government entails an extra charge of 10% on these revised fee structures.
