As per the guidelines of the union government, the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation was notified to identify those without a house or a site. The homeless and siteless within the limits of the GP submitted applications through the panchayat. Based on this, the corporation has created a list on the homeless and siteless. Till now, 24 lakh applications have come and since there is opportunity to submit the applications till Feb 28th, the number of applicants will probably increase. All the applications submitted in the state will be sent to the central government. A survey will be conducted regarding the applicant’s factuality and needs. Later a final list of the eligible will be created. For any of the state and union government’ housing and site schemes, the beneficiaries will be selected based on this list.
Under the Prime Minister Awaz Yojna and as per the guidelines of the central government based on the 2011 social, financial and caste census, it was informed to identify the homeless as well as the siteless by Nov 30th 2018 and enter the same on the Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation’s website. But, in order to make sure that the name of the eligible is not missed from the list and to remove the ineligible from the list, opportunity has been provided till Feb 28th to conduct another inspection of the list. In case the name of the eligible is missed from the list, the PDO’s of the respective GP’s will be considered to be directly responsible, informed the corporation to all the GP’s through the ZP’s.
