Bribery case: CBI arrests three Central Archeology Department officials

Bellary: Three Central Archeology Department officers who demanded a bribe of Rs 1 lakh for permission to build a house were apprehended by the CBI on Thursday.

Officers nabbed in the CBI net include Prashant Reddy, Yogeesh, and Mohammad Ghous.

Rajasekhar Mulali, a social activist, had applied to the Central Archeology Department for permission (NOC, No Objection Letter) to build a house on a plot on Infantry Road in Bellary city.

The officials that approved the proposal requested a fee of Rs 1.5 lakh. Following this, Rajasekhar Mulali filed a complaint with the CBI.

The officials who had come to collect advance money in a private hotel were caught red-handed by the officials.
