To ensure safety and security, Mangaluru City Police Commissioner Anupam Agrawal has declared a temporary red zone from 8 am to 8 pm on February 17. This zone encompasses a five-kilometer radius around the premises of Sahyadri College in Adyar and the Tiruvailu Kambala venue at Vamanjoor. During this period, the flying of any type of drone within these areas is strictly prohibited.
Traffic advisory:
In anticipation of the influx of state leaders and party workers for the Congress convention, traffic modifications have also been announced. The convention, to be held on Sahyadri College ground off the Padil-Bantwal section of National Highway 73, is expected to cause congestion along the highway.

These traffic modifications will be effective from 9:00 am on February 17 until the conclusion of the event.
Parking arrangements:
- Dignitaries and public motorcycles from the Bantwal side will park at Kamath Maidan.
- Buses arriving from the Bantwal side will drop activists near Kamath Maidan, proceed to Kannur for a U-turn, and park at Motishyam/Sha Maidan.
- Dignitaries’ cars from the Mangaluru side will park at Adyar Garden.
- Buses from Mangaluru will drop convection attendees at Adyar Garden, take a U-turn at Somnathkatte, and park at Shah Maidan near Kannur Masjid.
- Two-wheelers from the Mangaluru side will park at Adyar Garden grounds.
- Additional parking is available at Maidan belonging to Jayasheela at Adyar Katte.
