Communal forces trying to tarnish district's image: Dinesh Gundurao

Mangaluru: Congress leader and district in-charge minister Dinesh Gundurao on Tuesday said that a few communal forces are trying to tarnish the district’s image on purpose.

Speaking to mediapersons at Mangaluru airport, Gundurao said that the government will not tolerate harassment of police personnel in name of moral policing and strict action will be taken against them.

On the rise of moral policing cases in the district, Gundurao said that students are scared to come to the district to pursue studies, and those who have got admission are afraid to go to college. I have asked them not to fear such anti-social forces.

He alleged that BJP is supporting such forces in order to bring disrepute to the Congress government. Further he urged the saffron party to co-operate to establish harmony in the district.
