Mangaluru: The union minister for road transport and highway Nithin Gadkari will be laying the foundation stone four important projects in Dakshina Kannada district to be implemented under the leadership of the highway and ports ministry at 11 am in the morning of March 5th.
Foundation stone will be laid for the 91.20 km long Mulki-Kateel-B C Road and the Konaje-Thokkottu city bypass road at the cost of Rs 2,500 crore. In this way, various four lane roads connecting the district will be created.
Besides it has been aimed to construct the 45.01 km long Kulshekar-Karkala four lane road at the cost of Rs 1,163 crore which has been a long standing demand. Thus the time has come for the construction of the essential road connection to Karkala-Moodbidri. On the same occasion, foundation stone will be laid for projects worth Rs 65 crore including the four lane road in front of NMPT and the construction of a bridge across the Phalguni River at Kuloor.

The foundation stones will be laid remotely by minister Gadkari from New Delhi through a video conference to be held at Jawaharlal Nehru centenary hall at NMPT Mangaluru.
