Bengaluru: Minister of Home, Law and Parliamentary Affairs Basavaraj Bommai reacted to the accusation made by Siddaramaiah by stating that we need not learn morality from Congress leaders who closed the case of former minister HY Meti.

Speaking to reporters here on Thursday he questioned, “Why are Congress leaders taking up the matter now? Is it because of the writ petition filed in the High Court?”

“What happened in the case of former minister HY Meti? Even though the victim complained against the minister, the former minister’s name was not mentioned in the complaint. The case was investigated and closed without even naming the former minister. Siddaramaiah was the chief minister then. We should not learn moral lessons from him,” Bommai said.
