Hijab row: Congress leader Suraiyya Anjum gets threat calls

Mangaluru: Amid ongoing hijab row, Youth Congress national spokesperson Suraiyya Anjum has claimed that she was abused and threatened for speaking to the media on the issue.

Suraiyya Anjum had said that Education is more important than Hijab and that even she is a Muslim but after she steps out of the house, she is a proud Indian first.

Anjum claims that after the statement she began receiving threat calls from unknown numbers. She approached the Police officials on Thursday and lodged a complaint.
