II PU Examination: Govt decides to improve re-evaluation system

The Karnataka government has decided to improve the re-evaluation system of the second PU examinations and to  consider applications of students who score even ‘one’ extra mark.

This new rule will come into effect this year in March.

As per the current rules, a student was only eligible for re-evaluation if he received at least 6% of the overall marks.

 Karnataka School Education and Literacy Minister BC Nagesh said, “Every mark counts in today’s competitive environment. In this scenario, the state government has made a “student-friendly” decision that takes into account even one mark.”

“The “Karnataka Pre- University Course State Level Public Examination Rules, 1997” are being amended in this regard, he added.
