The PIL was heard by a division bench led by Chief Justice N.V. Anjaria and Justice K.V. Aravind on Tuesday.

Although the date for Kambala in Bengaluru has not yet been confirmed, the Karnataka government informed the court that the traditional Kambala event would be held on November 17 in Pilikula, Dakshina Kannada district.

Advocate M. Vinod Kumar, representing the Bengaluru Kambala Committee, informed the court that objections to the petition had been submitted. Advocate General K. Shashikiran Shetty stated that, while there is no fixed date for a Kambala event in Bengaluru, the Pilikula event is scheduled for November 17.

Senior advocate Dhyan Chinnappa, representing the petitioners, expressed no objection to the Kambala in Dakshina Kannada or Pilikula. However, he raised concerns about its location next to a zoo, which, according to the zoo director, could disturb other animals due to noise.
