The stretch from Hiriyadka Kotnakatte to Kudi Cross, via Bhajanakatte, is undergoing significant repairs. MLA Gopal Suresh Shetty has facilitated Rs 10 crore in funding from the government for road development. The work includes creating proper drainage systems with pipelines for rainwater management. Heavy machinery, including JCBs, is being used for excavation and other construction activities.

MLA Gurme Suresh Shetty emphasized that roadworks on the Karkala-Hiriyadka stretch are progressing at a steady pace.
