Karkala: Man dies by suicide after killing 26-yo disabled son

A 55-year-old man allegedly died by suicide after killing his 26-year-old disabled son at Kervashe village in Ajekar.

The deceased have been identified as Krishna Poojary and his son Deepesh.

As per reports, Poojary earned a living by doing coolie-work to support his family. However, his wife has been keeping ill for the last few years and thus he found it difficult to go to work as well as care for his wife and son.

Depressed by the situation, Poojary is said to have killed Deepesh by pushing him into a well and then ended his life by hanging. The incident took place on June 18.

Ajekar police have filed a case in this regard.
