Inquiry at Udakamandalam (Ooty)
Police have also interrogated a 40-year-old man in Tamil Nadu’s Udakamandalam after the SIM card used by the suspect was found to be registered in his name. It is learned that the accused had bought the SIM card by producing an Aadhaar card of Surendran of Kundasappai village. It is unclear if Surendran had helped the suspect buy the SIM card or if his Aadhaar card was misused without his knowledge. A police investigation is underway in this regard.
